Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer will work in NDO (Node Development Organization) SP Feature Development team of PDU transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop & Test switch router products.
  2. Work in an agile team as both developer and tester.
  3. Responsible for feature designing, coding, unit Test, feature test, regression test, automation test scripts, document writing, product maintenance, etc.
  4. You will drive strategic technical leadership
  5. Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.  
  6. Develop and test high quality products
  7. Perform trouble shooting and customer support
  8. Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
  9. Develop competence in technical domain

Qualifications:

  1. Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EE, Telecom or equivalent.
  2. 3+ years’ experience in software development of L2/L3 Ethernet switches or routers.
  3. Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  4. Embedded Linux OS experience and Linux development environment.
  5. Excellent understanding of networking technologies and related protocols. Mainly on carrier Ethernet, IP and MPLS.
  6. Independent thinking.
  7. Extensive knowledge in data communication or telecommunications.
  8. Good teamwork and cooperation spirit, both professional and personal integrity, proactive and positive learning attitude.
  9. Fluent in English speaking and writing.
  10. Familiar with automation test (with Perl or Java) is a big plus.
  11. Familiar with L3VPN/L2VPN, CFM/Y.1731, Bridge, ERP (Ethernet Ring Protection), ACL, LLDP, Telemetry is a big plus
  12. Understanding agile and scrum is a big plus.
