Job Summary:

 

We are currently recruiting for a Network Services Regional Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM) to strengthen Ericsson’s competitive position by maximizing supplier value, proactively managing business risks, and creating value for the Customer. 

The Regional SSM is accountable for evaluating, qualifying and selecting suppliers for the external purchase and licensing of all products and services: 1) to be delivered to Customers as part of or as an Ericsson project or service and 2) for internal use within Ericsson.

The Regional SSM is responsible for all commercial relationships with suppliers in their geographical responsibility for all Customer agreements in the Macro / Line & Antenna / Civils Construction categories.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Lead sourcing and contracting activities for network services, including validation of scope and cost estimates.
  • Manage, prepare & execute the RFx process
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, and competences in order to staff projects, leading to supplier selection
  • Conduct supplier negotiation and discuss project specific scope in depth and negotiate them face to face with contractors.
  • Ensure supplier agreement implementation
  • Drive long-term business goals and objectives

 

 

Key Qualifications:

 

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Min 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience and / or extensive experience negotiation telecom construction projects with subcontractors.
  • Domain experience: Network services, civil construction, EF&I, tower work, small cells or inbuilding.
  • Sourcing Practice, Process & Strategy Knowledge
  • Change & Improvement Management Skills
  • Commercial Acumen & Skills
  • Financial Acumen & Skills
  • Local Laws & Regulations Knowledge

 

 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

 

  • Telecomm services procurement or project (tower/rooftop construction) experience strongly preferred
  • Sourcing or procurement experience strongly preferred
  • Construction management experience and / or construction estimating techniques and costs is a plus.
  • Change management and process improvement capabilities
