Ericsson Research is expanding the group working with Device Technologies and is looking for candidates with experience in computer vision and mixed reality. Our team is using computer vision, image recognition, machine learning, real-time and distributed systems to convert requirements into concrete deliverables. Job Description
You, as the successful candidate for the role, will have thorough experience in computer vision and good understanding of how this can impact the development of mixed reality applications. You are familiar with the latest developments in methods and paradigms around computer vision and can apply this to different types of device hardware architectures. You will work hands-on with coding as a central part of your daily work and you will be given the chance to implement demonstrators to show novelty, usefulness, and impact of computer vision and mixed reality. You will innovate and invent, evaluate performance, and take part in securing protection in IPRs. With all the knowledge and experience you gain, you could coach and supervise others. You will be developing complex systems and applications for connected devices, working closely with a high skilled team on developing software tools and new ways of working.

Main Tasks
•Develop Computer Vision solutions used in connected devices, beyond smartphones
•Innovate and secure protection in IPRs
•Integrate results in system and application development for connected devices
•Participate in team activities on developing software tools and ways of working
•Implement demonstrators to show novelty, usefulness, and impact of new technologies
•Supervise and coach other researchers


Experience/Knowledge
•Experienced MSc, PhD, or equivalent in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
•Strong knowledge in computer vision, analytics and image processing
•Ability to formulate problems and solve them independently and in groups
•Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge, apply it, and spread it to others
•Excellent knowledge in computing software and experience in Python, C/C++ and others
•Good knowledge of device hardware/software development
•Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and good presentation skills

 

Bonus
•Experience of innovation and secure protection in IPR´s
•Signal processing and sensor fusion with an understanding of sensors and models.
•Experience from agile development methods
