At Development Unit Networks(DNEW) Product Development Unit (PDU) Transport R6000 Nodes we have full Product Life Cycle Management responsibility for the SP and Router 6000 products. The organization consists of several hundred employees covering all disciplines needed for development and maintenance of our products. The organization is based in Beijing, China. We are right now in an exciting time pushing new functionality in our existing product generation and ramping up the development of the next platform generation which will be a key part of Ericsson’s 5G Radio transport solution.
We are development a new family a new generation access and aggregation routers, Router 6000. For this we need a highly skilled and motivated senior system architect. We are looking for a technical leader with capability of also be a team player and part of our winning team. Work tasks include:
- Definition of new packet functionality
- Drive Performance & Scalability improvements in router products
- Functionality contributions to shared platform independent IPOS SW system
- End-to-end network scenario definition for proper interoperability
- IPR, Standardization and Innovation
- Prototype implementation
You should have/be:
- Passion for software architecture design and software development
- Very strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Strong soft skills of cooperation, negotiation, influencing and decision making
- A creative and curious way of working leading to continuous improvements
- Enjoying sharing your knowledge and skills
- Open minded and willing to accept new challenges
You should have the technical background of:
- Master of Science Degree
- Highly developed design skills, especially on design modeling and design pattern.
- Extensive programming experience, preferably 5+ years.
- Broad R&D working experience, e.g., system design, software design, integration and verification, etc.
- Extensive experiences of bootloader, Linux Kernel/drivers, O&M(FCAPS), database, multi-threading, SNMP, NETCONF, CLI development
- Experiences of PKI, TLS, IPsec, OS hardening development
- Strong knowledge of complex system architectures
- Knowledge of Ethernet, IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, and SDN
