Payroll Specialist (M/F)

 

Location: Zagreb

 

Payroll Specialist is a member our team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry payroll processing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform daily payroll operations
  • Salary calculation for posted workers 
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
  • Process correct calculations and compliance
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
  • Update and reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Load import files received from the C&B team
  • Research and email appropriate audience of file issues

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or higher (Economics)
  • At least 2 years of experience processing payroll
  • Working knowledge of best payroll practices
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Accurate with attention to detail
  • Ability to sensitively deal with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and English proficiency
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
