About this opportunity

We are now looking for Senior RF Engineers with consulting and optimization experience, who will be responsible for analyzing, E2E Tuning and Optimization, based on a deep Technical understanding on Ericsson Products/Software mainly focused on RAN Domain and leading Tuning and Optimization team, Additionally, working with the business team in developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customer in collaboration with their Regional/National team in conjunction with the CU CTO team, In this role, you will also be accountable for providing profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions, and proposals.

What you will do

  • Scope, define, craft Tech solution offerings, outline and support innovations and automation initiatives.
  • Analyze customer technology, define business requirements, and participate in risk analysis.
  • Develop technical presentations and proposals and perform customer presentations.
  • Provide feedback to R&D for products and tool improvements if required
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing; Develop others.
  • Keep abreast of new technology/technical areas.
  • Build and lead positive relationships with internal/external customer

You will bring

  • Experience in RF/microwave engineering with specific experience in interference hunting and/or passive intermodulation mitigation.
  • Understanding RFDS and RNDCIQ and RAN design parameters
  • Recent experience of working with field teams in trouble shooting PIM/RSSI
  • 4-5yrs of experience tuning/optimization of cellular systems.
  • Ability to interpret AILG based RF Stress Test results and correlate with PRB heat maps
  • Able to make recommendations in parameter changes, feature activations based upon KPI analysis and to improve RSSI and Rx Path Imbalance
  • Detailed knowledge of KPIs and Ericsson RAN counters preferred
  • Detailed understanding of the link budget and understand how enhance uplink tuning is performed to understand the impact of adding additional carrier(s) on the network
  • Extensive knowledge of Ericsson products, services, organization, and telecom principles is preferred
  • Demonstrated results driving sophisticated innovation opportunities with meaningful cost savings or add-on sales
  • Significant customer interaction to create scopes; ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Exceptionally consultative with excellent communication skills
  • Primary Contacts: CPM, CFR, ACR, GSC SDM, Customer RF/C&E managers/Directors.
  • Has significant additional skills beyond Engineering (software, automation, project management, performance improvement/6Sigma is a plus)
  • Experience in 5G, LTE, VoLTE, E2E and/or ML&AI.
  • Innovative and proactive attitude.
  • Great teammate but also demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, initiative and thrive in a fasted paced environment with tight deadlines and learn independently.
  • Good presentation, time management and leadership skills & ability to work with a diverse group of backgrounds.
  • Result oriented with focus on customer happiness and high-quality project delivery.
  • Experience in daily KPI analysis and proposal of corrective actions and successful track record of Successful Customer engagements.
  • Perform network monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting activities
  • KPI high level analysis and reporting
  • Capacity & performance analysis and reporting
  • Network performance improvement proposals and implementation
  • End-user Quality of Service Optimization, customer complaint analysis and solving
  • Modify and reconfigure database of GSM, UMTS and LTE nodes
  • Periodical audits of Radio parameters and correction of inconsistencies
  • Special events preparation, tuning, monitoring, and reporting
  • New/modified site fine tuning and acceptance
  • Benchmark analysis & report

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10-years of confirmed experience in RAN and End to End (E2E) Network Design and Optimization (NDO) in technical and/or senior consultative roles.
  • Familiar with mobile networks architecture
  • Cross-group collaboration skills
  • Good understanding of radio environment related to mobile communications.
  • Good knowledge of 2G/3G/4G and 5G - Experience Ericsson vendor equipment (OSS/ENM)
  • Fast adaptation and abnormal case solving
  • Knowledge sharing, developing others & collaboration skills
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken
