Our Exciting Opportunity

A modern Data Architect who will lead, develop, and create a target and solution data architecture that meet various stakeholders’ requirements.

 

You will

  • Formulate the organizational data strategy, including data quality metrics, data lifecycle, data catalogue, and data security
  • Be an expert who bridges the business and technology
  • Create, develop, and design a blueprint for building a modern integrated data platform which enables easy data explorable, accessible in a secured manned, align with business needs, and support advanced analytics and data science application
  • Define overall policies and procedures based on legal and governmental regulatory frameworks and contractual restrictions; design measures to address risk

 

To be successful in the role, we'd love it if you have

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, data architecture, information management, mathematics, engineering, or a similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and engineering large-scale data analytical architecture; including building Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, data pipelines, data management and integration
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data architecture role designing data warehousing and/or data lakes with technologies such as Lakehouse, Hadoop eco-system
  • Creative problem-solver with good communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically about technical challenges, business requirements, and solution
  • Understand country/region regulatory cross-border data requirements and methods for compliance
  • Track, anticipate and manage data related technology and architecture evolution
  • Keep abreast on technology shift and industry initiative to prioritize and adapt the data blueprint effectively
  • Work, collaborate, coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, enterprise partner to design a solution that satisfy end-users’ requirements
  • Design and manage data flow and dissemination of data metadata, and data logistic information for stakeholders
  • Ensure data accessibility, reliability, quality, and security across different organization units
  • Secure complex platform system from threat vectors
  • Assess and recommend different storage architecture, such as data warehouse, data lake and data mart based on the data type
  • Design ingestion layer solution with both batch process and event streaming capability 

 

Additional Core Competence

  • Proficient with MongoDB, Hadoop and other database modeling and management tools
  • Experience developing software in one or more programming languages, such as: Python, R, C++, bash, js, html etc
  • Modern analytics data architectures including cloud native, microservices architecture, virtualization, orchestration, and containerization
  • Proven expertise in data storage layer modern technology such as Lakehouse architecture
  • Knowledge in data warehouse versus data lake
  • Experience with data platform development on virtual on-premises cloud provided by Amazon Web Service (AWS), Google Cloud, Azure, or others.
  • Proficient in networking among different data platform application clusters connectivity
  • Data ingestion, data exposure via Application Interface Protocol (API)
  • Different type of database framework such as Structured Query Language (SQL) and NoSQL
  • Data flow and pipeline concept and application
  • Apache eco-system such as Hadoop MapReduce, Spark
  • Familiar with Continuous Development/ Continuous Integration (CI/CD) tools and processes (development, build, test, deploy cycles and versioning/collaborative tools like Gitlab-CI, git would be helpful)
  • Data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI
