Our Exciting Opportunity:

We are now looking for a Support Engineer that will providetechnical service and support to our customers in cloud coredomain. In this role, you will do troubleshooting and resolveproblems to stabilize and optimize customer cloud-basednetworks. The Support Engineer typically interacts with customertechnical staff, operation managers, service engineers andother groups within the service delivery organization. Youmay also interact with groups in sales, R&D, 3rd partysuppliers and local authorities.


You will:

• Deliver professional support towards our Customer Unitsand Customers.

• Handle customer engagement: manage customerrelationship, building confi dence and trust while ensuringhigh service quality.

• Provide ongoing technical support and consultancy to ourcustomers, post project activities.

• Handle emergencies and critical issues while assigned toon-call roster.

• Handle technical investigations for root cause analysisand if required coordinate with development teams and 3PPvendors.

• Handle Software Update Management (SUM).

• Propose product and services improvements based oninvestigation results.

• Deliver preemptive support, handling, and crafting usecases for automation.

• Share knowledge and mentor junior members of theteam.

• Suggest areas for automation and digitalization within ourservice delivery operations and collaborate with team andothers to realize the ideas

 

To be successful in the role you must have:

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Telecom/IT or any relevant field.

• Minimum of 4years of Cloud based technologyexperience and including at least 3 years in a customerfacing role.

• Proven ability to deliver results and meet customerexpectations, using excellent planning, organizing,presentation, negotiation, and argumentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability in understanding CloudInfrastructure architecture and good understanding of VNF,SDS and SDN concepts.

• Proven experience in working with Cloud Orchestration,Service Orchestration, Cloud Manager, VNF Manager andAutomation technologies.

• Demonstrated methodology of trouble shooting both onhardware and software in the cloud infrastructure,networking, storage, middleware, and applications.

• Demonstrated understanding of Cloud Native core designprinciples such as micro services, containers, pods,master/worker nodes.

• Interest and knowledge of Artifi cial Intelligence andMachine Learning technologies is a plus.

• Experience and knowledge of Telecom industry is anadvantage.

• Vendor specifi c technical certifi cation is an additionaladvantage.

Technical Skills:

• Management – Jira, GitHub, Slack, Redmine, etc.

• OS – various Linux distributions; RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian,openSUSE, CentOS, etc.

• Virtualization – Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack such asEricsson CEE or RedHat OpenStack, OVS, KVM, SR-IOV,DPDK, VM-Ware, Oracle Virtualbox, etc.

• Message Broker – ApacheMQ, AMQP, RabbitMQ, etc.

• Database – Oracle RAC, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB,Elasticsearch, Cassandra, etc.

• Appl Server – WebLogic, JBoss, Wildfl y, Apache, Tomcat,nginx, etc.

• Scripting – Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, Bash, JavaScript,etc.

• L2/L3 Networking – Cisco, Juniper, Extreme or SDNproducts
