We explore the future of consumers, industries and society in regards to connectivity by using scientific methods to provide outstanding insights on markets, industries and consumer trends.

The role will be based in Kista, Sweden reporting to the Research Leader Consumer Lab.


You will

  • Be working with statistical methods to investigate consumer survey data
  • Apply those methods to research questions and communicate basic statistical information to non-statisticians
  • Collaborate with Principal Statistician as well as mentor and train junior statistical staff and keep the team updated on new emerging innovative methodologies
  • Conduct data analysis using modern statistical modelling techniques
  • Create useful insight and foresight using various data sources
  • Drive discussion based on data-based insights
  • Work with a wide range of partners and functional teams within Ericsson
  • Develop and evaluate process, methods and tools


To be successful in the role you must have

  • Degree in Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, Data science, Econometrics or relevant theoretical background in statistics
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in applying appropriate statistical methods in a corporate research role. Market research industry experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SPSS usage including syntax writing as well as knowledge of other computational tools
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and graphical visualization of statistical results
  • Ability to translate complicated analysis to compelling communicative messages
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication skills and ability to build networks
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Understanding of how statistics and data analytics can be used to impact business decisions
  • Interest in consumers, trends and ICT insight creation using data from different sources


Additional Requirements:

  • Coding skills in e.g. R, SQL, Python, Java
  • Experience from using dashboards technologies, such as Tableau, QlikView and data studio
