Our Exciting Opportunity:
 

We are looking for a Product Manager to define and shape our managed Content Discovery service offering around content metadata. You are empowered to define our product offering and the roadmap to meet market demands and Red Bee business goals.

 

The role encompasses the definition and application of our strategic roadmap as well as the ability to make the strategy real in terms of driving forward market success, working with our agile delivery teams, defining the commercial offering, product requirements and value propositions, leading the creation of excellent product marketing and acting as an ambassador and subject matter expert for the product internally and externally.

 

The role is commercially led, focusing on defining the ‘what, why and when’, and will place requirements on and support the technical development of the product.


You will:

  • Run a profitable product with full profit and loss and return on investment accountability, including creation and follow-up on product business cases considering market and customer inputs and appropriate calculus
  • Define the product financial model, plan the business, and forecast run rates to ascertain margins in line with business expectations and develop rate cards meeting market expectations
  • Pro-actively engage with and know the customers, have a clear sense of the market and the competitive landscape as to create a compelling market proposition
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap, and manage and prioritize the roadmap ongoing, reflecting both market and customer led initiatives as well as operational efficiency advances
  • Identify partnering opportunities to strengthen the product line offering
  • Provide significant input to market positioning and messaging, as well as evangelize around your product internally and externally
  • Perform sales growth plans and funnel management with sales teams and customer success managers
  • Lead sourcing decisions including build versus buy, ensuring our cost maps to customer value, and managing partner relationships to assure support for existing and future portfolio

 

To be successful in the role you should have: 

  • Proven experience of driving a successful product including partner relations as product manager, preferably in the Content Discovery/TV and video metadata/search- and personalization area
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, well versed in pricing, cost bases and investment-recovery
  • Strong technical experience, and knowledge of the business/technical ecosystem across multiple ranges of broadcast, streaming and OTT domains relevant to metadata
  • Well accustomed in engaging successfully with senior and company-wide stakeholder management
  • It is also beneficial for the role to have knowledge in one or several of the following areas:
  • Content monetization, e-commerce and/or OTT based streaming platforms 
  • Live and linear Contribution and Distribution services
  • Broadcast and associated Media ecosystems including media management and post-production
