What you will do

 

At our unit we secure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN). Technical focus includes 5G evolution, IoT, Automation / Machine Learning and Security.

This is an opportunity to work with innovative AI/ML technology which can be used to enhance capabilities in a Radio Access Network (RAN), and for simulations / digital twins. Recent advancements have shown how AI-based algorithms can improve the computation of matrix multiplications which impact the processing time.

The thesis is divided into steps with the end goal of analyzing how radio network simulations can be improved with AI-based matrix multiplication.

  • Explore and implement AI-based matrix multiplication and evaluate how radio network simulations can be improved.
  • Present results and conclusions.
  • Write a thesis report.

 

You will bring

 

  • Background in Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Great understanding of AI/ML techniques.
  • Excellent grades.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job. Ability to formulate problems and solve them.
  • Great networking, collaboration and communication skills with high energy and motivation.
  • Understanding of mobile networks and wireless communication systems.
  • Good programming skills incl. Java and Python.
