As part of the Excellerate program you are able to seize the initiative, operate with a consultative approach and collaborate on cross-technology solutions. The program will ensure you gain real practical insight into our business, our stakeholders and our customers including communication service providers (CSP) across the globe, and how we integrate end-to-end solutions to ensure everyone worldwide is connected.


Your journey within the Excellerate Program will start as a Business Development Manager at Business Area Cloud Software & Development, Customer Support!

At Customer Support, we fulfil the promise made to customers for our products and solutions through Support Services. We're the closest team towards customers, where support is a crucial part to achieve a successful customer journey and user experience.

With today's technology, our software and solutions are designed, developed and deployed at unforeseen pace, requiring us to continuously evolve to maintain our competitive edge. This means that we're on an exciting journey ahead and seeking you to empower the team!


Our mission is to develop knowledge about market trends, customer expectations, and competitors offerings, which will help us to set the right business strategies in Sales and Delivery. That's where you come in. As Business Development Manager you will work to bring an outside-in perspective on our business and take part in shaping timely adjustments to our service portfolio and commercial models. In addition, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Identify new markets, growth areas, customers, partnerships, products and services, along with exploring new ways of how we can engage with our customers
  • Look at industry trends and competitor offerings and how they compare to Ericsson
  • Conduct research and motivate change hands-on to evolve current process and go to market, along with following up on the result to ensure impact
  • Always be on look-out for interaction with our customers, partners, vendors, along with participating in events to capture information
  • Work across all areas of the business, including Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Development, Services and Operations

In addition, we believe you have:


  • BSc or MSc degree in Engineering, MBA in Strategy or Marketing
  • A global attitude and willingness to relocate internationally
  • Ability and interest in taking ownership from research to leading change hands-on to evolve current process and go to market
  • 1-4 years of experience from service delivery and/or customers facing roles are considered a merit
  • The ability to prepare and present in a conveying way using Microsoft Office tools
  • Desire and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Solid presentation and communication skills and proficiency in English
