Job Description:

Operations Support Specialist is a customer-facing role. The desired candidate must have good technical experience of working in a mobile network OSS support domain. Extensive experience on EMS/NMS/OSS integrations. Financial management of handling budgets, PO, invoices is also required. Must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time. The person needs to be good technically along with good presentation and communication skills.

 

Responsibility:

  • Capable of OSS/EMS Planning
  • Manage and Deliver OSS related Projects with the agreed Timeline, Scope & Cost
  • Develop, Test, Implement, Integrate OSS applications
  • Administrate & Support OSS applications/database/server to resolve application issues and up-keep the system availability within the resolution SLAs to minimize business disruption
  • End to end management of the OSS applications & server by managing system upgrade, system future expansion etc. via Change Request based on user requirements
  • Customer & stakeholder management to handle a difficult situations.
  • Be passionate about performing requirements gathering, analysis, designing, and programming to meet business requirements and produce detailed design specifications ready for development and manage partner and vendor for network OSS planning and Transformation.
  • Responsible for ensuring all the new OSS solutions implemented to adhere to the defined OSS architecture. It also includes performing software installation, solution customization & testing, and deployment.
  • Be an OSS domain expert consultation to end-users and excellent coordination with the customer.
  • Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures; work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy. Some latitude for independent judgment Knowledge about and at best experience with project management 
  • Excellent, high-level knowledge; complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of expertise and general knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Ability to influence people from different levels of the organization

 

Qualification & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering / Management Information Systems or equivalent
  • Excellent experience in Telecom Mobile Network handling OSS Domain
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • 8-12 years working experience in telco environment maintaining EMSs, Performance Management Systems, Business Intelligence, Network Inventory Management, Trouble Ticketing System, Network Promoter Score, RAN Planning tool
  • Hands-on experience in UNIX/SHEL/Python/MySQL, JAVA, Web Programming - Qlik Sense, PHP, SQL
  • Good knowledge on Server Virtualization & Cloud Technologies
  • Familiarity with SNMP, CORBA, XML, HTTP, TCP/UDP Protocol
  • Soft Skills – Communication, Presentation, Power Ppt, Excel.
