About this opportunity

Are you passionate about driving innovation to market? Want to work on cutting edge 5G and 6G power amplifier solutions? Do you thrive in a flexible working culture, where new ideas are fostered, and you are encouraged to develop new skills?

We are now looking for a committed and motivated Power Amplifier (PA) Design Intern for our growing pre-development team in Rosenheim, Germany, to drive our research and early technology development in the PA domain targeting 6G!

Together we are working on all horizons: from the device technology to the package implementation, from novel designs and architectures to the end module prototype. The PAs cover all applicable power levels and frequency bands used for future mobile narrow band and broadband applications.


You’ll get the opportunity to

  • Be part of a highly diverse team with varied strengths and take part in all kinds of activities that comes with the role

  • Belong to a team that works on all horizons, to advance the state of the art in the area of highly integrated PA modules

  • Work with research/development of PAs for Ericsson’s future radio systems

  • Work with people across multiple fields in radio development

  • Plan and prioritize your work

Key skills

  • Domain experience: 6 months of experience with RF design tools and measurement topics, for example in a Batchelor degree studies, is highly advantageous

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

  • Experience with ADS is required. Experience with HFSS is a plus

  • Understanding of different PA modes, classes, and architectures would be helpful

  • Experience with conducting and handling S-parameter measurements up to GHz frequencies would be beneficial

  • Familiar with transistor technology and different device vendors is advantageous
