JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

As mechanical developer with automation knowledge you will be a part of our tooling/equipment department where we develop and produce equipment which is used for our R&D-activities in Rosenheim and for series production all over the world.

 

We are looking for you as an experienced mechanical designer/engineer to advance us in two areas: the mechanical development of (manually operated) tools/equipment and the design of automated test equipment. After being trained in the Ericsson Way-of-Working (WoW) you will collaborate with different departments to develop new tools/equipment.

We work strongly project oriented, organized in cross functional development teams, in which continuous improvement and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

 

YOUR TASK:

 

  • Conception and detailed design of individual parts, assemblies and entire machines considering manufacturability, price and usability
  • Selection of material, creation of tolerance calculations, definition of tolerances according to given mechanical concepts
  • Creation of 2D drawings and gaining initial experience in creating 3D drawings
  • Close cooperation with the neighboring departments of mechanical production and assembly and with project management, purchasing and supply chain management in a national and international environment
  • Creation of bill of material, check for completeness, determination of long lead items
  • Create master data information in Ericsson-systems

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Successfully completed technical studies (Master's / Bachelor's) mechanical engineering, production engineering, automation technology or a similar qualification through work experience
  • Confident handling of a CAD-System (preferably PTC Creo 4.0 or higher and PTC Windchill)
  • Confident handling of Microsoft Office (365), especially Teams, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint
  • Confident in German and English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of current DIN/ISO standards
  • Basic knowledge in risk analysis
  • Basic skills in project planning

 

A target- and solution-oriented as well as independent way of working, team and communication skills, reliability, sense of responsibility as well as flexibility and independent action complete your profile.

And if you are also familiar with the reference point system, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing or if you are experienced in CE conformity assessment of machines and systems you offer more than we expect.

Capabilities in Design for Automation (DfA) / Design for Testability (DfT) are also beneficial.
