About this opportunity
We are looking for a Junior People Analyst to join our team working across Europe and Latin America. You will be a direct support primarily to our People Business Partners working with them on providing reports, extracting, and preparing data and helping our teams to gain insight from our people data. You will maintain and update our existing People Analytics suite of tools and have the opportunity to add your own input to their continuous improvement and advancement. This role will also involve supporting our workforce planning cycles and other operational reporting needs from the business.
In this role you will be able to:
- Use your own creativity to build engaging data visualisation and analytics products
- Have a direct impact on the wellbeing of our employees by addressing business needs with data
- Work with and learn from other People Analytics experts across the wider business to help you develop your own skills
- Get experience into all working with all areas of the People function (Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Total Rewards) and help them bring together information to support their work
What you will do
This role with involve working heavily with Power BI to develop, update and maintain our suite of analytics tools. Previous experience crafting reports or dashboards with Power BI/Tableau/Qlik Sense/Excel or other industry leading business intelligence tool is desirable. Previous experience with or knowledge of data transformation tools such as Tableau Prep, Power Query, Alteryx, SQL or similar at a basic level would be beneficial to this role. The additional tools/concepts below are not crucial to the role, but any previous experience or knowledge would be advantageous. We would expect you to be curious and motivated to develop these skills both independently and by learning from others.
- R & RStudio
- We use Tidyverse libraries to transform data and run more sophisticated analyses & we use markdown documents to present and share our work with our experts across the function.
- Python
- We use Pandas, NumPy & scikit-learn to engineer and manipulate data for more complex or custom needs.
- Scientific research methodology
- It would be beneficial to understand basic scientific research methodology and how a simple hypothesis can be tested in a scientific manner.
We are looking for someone who is…
- Comfortable working with large datasets and business intelligence tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Qilksense or similar)
- Enthusiastic, curious, and genuinely interested in people data and how it can be utilised to tackle business challenges
- Looking to develop and learn from others
- Confident in communication with colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable with excel and writing formulas with basic complexity (such as IF/AND/ORs, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS/COUNTIFS/AVERAGEIFS)
- Confident with basic mathematical calculations (i.e., averages, medians, percentages changes, rolling averages)
