Radio Analog RF Hardware Developer

Location:  Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

This exciting opportunity is for an analog (RF) hardware development role in the radio transceiver development team in Ottawa. This team works dynamically and collaboratively with teams locally and globally and is engaged in all aspects of hardware development for Ericsson’s next generation of radios to meet the exciting customer and business needs around the world. You would be part of an exceptional team developing the next generation of radio hardware for Ericsson; providing you with a unique opportunity to engage in many aspects of the next wave of world leading wireless communication.

Our Exciting Opportunity:

  • Join our diverse team and work with all aspects of radio hardware design from initial architecture, systemization, implementation, verification and through to volume manufacture
  • Get involved in dynamic task-forces to investigate and resolve radio challenges
  • Drive continuous improvements into how we create our novel designs, run our development processes and ensure our product quality
  • Work collaboratively in our cutting edge labs to design, test and stress our next-generation of components, analog sub-blocks and radios


You Have Experience Within:

  • analog (RF) hardware design, implementation and verification
  • design using high performance ADC and DAC
  • standard RF simulation tools
  • standard tools used to perform schematic capture and PCB layout
  • writing automated test software, e.g. C, Python, MATLAB
  • Graduated with a minimum of Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Ability to perform, collaborate and lead in a fast paced dynamic team environment
  • Excellent English communication skills

You might also have:

  • Previous exposure to radio transceiver design and / or test
  • Previous exposure to digital signal processing in data paths
  • Previous experience in introducing products through volume manufacture
