About this opportunity

PDU Cloud RAN, part of Business Unit Networks, works closely with our customers, passionate about the delivery of cloud native RAN solutions.

Our Systems DevOps Infrastructure sector plays a strategic role in making sure that Cloud RAN developers have the feedback at their fingertips to produce the most high-performing and efficient Cloud RAN solutions in the industry.

We are a small but mighty team: we orchestrate the adoption of cutting-edge paradigms and technology, enabling the DevOps transformation in PDU Cloud RAN and on behalf of DNEW. We enable the PDU to reach new heights, by developing the DevOps test strategy and providing the specialists and critical expertise needed to implement it. We provide support, services, guidelines, templates, and infrastructure that make it easy for the Solution Programs, Partners and Customers to be quick and efficient.

We have our heads in the air and our feet on the ground: we collaborate with S&T, Ericsson Research, GAIA, Open Source, ESP Program (DSI and NSV), BDGS and external Partners to bring in fresh ideas and new solutions, but we also “walk the talk” in securing the infrastructure and support for Cloud RAN product delivery (Solution Programs/Streams)

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Product Development Leader to head the DevOps Automation unit. You will teach, mentor, challenge and develop your team to embrace the cloud-native paradigm, which requires high autonomy and collaboration. You will foster a creative and learning culture, where we continuously seek a balance between short-term deliverables and mid-to long term strategic objectives.

What you will do

  • Develop and drive the execution of the CI/CD DevOps strategy for PDU Cloud RAN
  • Support the PDGs (Product Development Groups) by developing and maintaining templates, tools, guidelines for the pipelines in line with Cloud Native principles (e.g. dashboards and visualisation, automated deployment, self-service pipelines, release pipeline, trouble-shooting support, security)
  • Foster PDU-wide collaboration and alignment via autonomy in the CI/CD Community of Practice
  • Drive new concepts and industry-leading practices to cater for multiple deployment models and environments, to further enable the Devops strategy (e.g. data lake/pipeline for canary deployments, use of AI/ML for trouble-shooting, integration with Hyperscaler CI/CD tools, DevSecOps)
  • Collaborate with BDGS, DSI, CES to ensure a consistent customer experience (e.g. data collection, release management, security compliance)

You will bring

  • Education: B.Sc./B.Eng in SW engineering or related field - or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5 years Line management or Program management
  • Demonstrated ability: CI/CD, DevOps, automation, Cloud Native, Open Source
  • Product development and Product Lifecycle Management process knowledge
  • Demonstrated innovative mindset, coaching and mentoring skills, business understanding
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Formulating strategies and concepts
  • Collaborative team player
