Three functional and cross-functional rotations including a role in an international project (six months each), with special emphasis on Ericsson’s mature (USA / Europe) and emerging (India) markets to strengthen your business and commercial acumen


Your journey within the Innovate Program will start as 5G Baseband Systems Developer at Ericsson’s baseband software development department.


You will:

Develop algorithms in radio resource management area for 5G NR Base stations.

Develop simulations for the analysis of 5G feature algorithms and implement extensions to simulation tools and environments.

Perform Continuous analysis and Requirements Handling

Develop deep understanding of Baseband product architecture

Work with product design teams to implement systems design algorithms. Understand memory and cycle constraints in the product and suggest implementation improvements.

Support System Verification and test result analysis, Customer trouble reports analysis

Detail all system analysis and performance expectations and results

Work closely with Product management teams to explain the algorithms as well help prioritize the requirements


To be successful in the role, you must have:

Three years or less of full-time working experience after completion of studies.

A background in communications theory and digital signal processing

Basic understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management and Mobility

Knowledge in SW development for Link and Network Simulations. Languages include: Java, C and C++

Knowledge in the software development and analysis of simulations. Knowledge of simulation environments and tools like MATLAB would be an asset

Analytical mindset, high capacity, result oriented and ability to deliver under pressure.

Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage many different projects at once

Excellent English skills, both verbal and written, providing effective communication building positive relationships internally as well as externally.

Candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player

Degree in a relevant area, preferably with demonstrated experience and knowledge in the above-mentioned required skills areas
