About this opportunity

A DNEW Customer Engagement and Support (CES) Senior Product Support Professional is accountable for providing superior level of 5G RAN technical support expertise for customer solutions. Engaging directly with designers, testers, integrators, solution architects and field troubleshooters, you will drive fault isolation, technical task forces, and provide a broader understanding of how Ericsson RAN products and features are used in the field. Build your competence through exciting field trials, demos, new product introductions and commercial deployment support with key technologies and development projects.

Collaborate as one in XFT setting, with a can-do attitude and a customer-centric, engineering focused culture. You will interact with Customers, regional Service Delivery organizations, sister DNEW R&D Product Support and Design hubs on issues related to configuration and network/product faults.

5G solutions make use of numerous technologies which add complexity but also exciting challenges to the Senior Product Support Professional's responsibilities. The latest solutions include 5G HB/MB/LB NR (SA & NSA), ESS, VoNR, new Macro and Indoor Ericsson Radio Systems, Massive Mimo Antenna Systems, Carrier Aggregation, NB& Critical IoT, CLOUD, Street Macro, etc.

 

What you will do

  • Acquire deep technical competence on RAN products
  • Develop close ties within our development community to act as an effective conduit for Design close to customer initiatives
  • Identify faults, troubleshoot, and apply standard resolving processes in the network/solution/products
  • Play significant role in improvement/innovation initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise as part of Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Perform Observability and Supportability assessments on Implementation Plan pre-studies
  • Provide on-site and remote technical deployment support when required
  • Run Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes
  • Actively contributes to knowledge sharing
  • Drive Technical Taskforces
  • Lead technical teams towards common goal

 

You will bring

  • Strong system design, troubleshooter background
  • Telecommunications Expertise (4G and 5G system integration and hands-on experience)
  • Experience and understanding of RF, Radio design and operation, and troubleshooting of RF Optimization type issues
  • BSc level and higher in a related field. (Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, SW Engineering, Computer Science)
  • SW Development experience is not mandatory, but considered an asset
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong sense of challenging the status quo when needed, and able to present difficult topics to leadership, senior management or customers
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity and desire to get to the bottom of things
  • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations
