Senior Software Developer & Support Engineer

Our Exciting Opportunity:

We are looking for a Solution Architect with experience in designing, building, and supporting high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for the software design and development of enterprise systems based on Java/Java EE while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and operational support.
 

In this role, you would:

•    Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
•    Provide supervision and guidance to development teams, both on and offshore
•    Research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
•    Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
•    Ensure designs follow specifications
•    Write well designed, testable, efficient code
•    Prepare and produce releases of software components
•    Provide level 3 operational support for deployed systems
 

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

•    Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related IT discipline 
•    Proven work experience designing software solutions
•    Proven experience leading and working with offshore Agile development teams
•    5+ years of hands-on Software Development experience 
•    5+ years of experience in Java development 
•    Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms 
•    Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. 
•    Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases (Oracle preferred), SQL and ORM technologies (Hibernate) 
•    Experience in building Micro Services is desirable
•    Experience with Angular is desirable
•    Experience with Spring Boot is desirable
•    Experience in developing web applications using JEE and Groovy on Grails is desirable
•    Experience with Python scripting and automation frameworks is desirable
•    Experience with Glassfish or Payara application server is desirable
