About this opportunity
NPI & Production organization is responsible for the global production of Ericsson Radio and RAN Compute products. We are around 4000 employees cross the globe with four Ericsson factories in Nanjing (China), Tallinn (Estonia), Sao Jose dos Campos (Brazil), Dallas (USA) and a staff function in Kista & Borås (Sweden).
We are now looking for a Global Process Architect to drive the digital transformation for process area NPI preparation for Final Assembly domain. You will work in close collaboration with engineers at Ericsson Supply Sites in order to translate and align business needs into process and IT requirements, and thereby ensure that future tools and system solutions support business best way possible. For example, you will be engaged in Digital Twin Production and Smart Manufacturing Use Cases. You will be engaged from requirement gathering definition to implementation phase.
Areas of responsibility will be process and system solution to support routing preparation, work instruction preparation, plant layout, time analysis simulation (including line balancing) and processes and tools for Tools & Fixtures management (library & system support).
You will be part of the Strategy, Process & Quality department, which is responsible for processes, global quality coordination and production systems and tools for the NPI and Production domain. The section consists of Global Process Architects (GPAs)/Process Managers located in Sweden (Kista & Borås), Estonia (Tallinn) and China (Nanjing). Our role is to drive improvement of our manufacturing capabilities to support best-in-class manufacturing operations worldwide.
This position will be geographically located in Nanjing (China), Tallinn (Estonia) or Kista/Borås (Sweden).
What you will do
- Work in close collaboration with subject matter experts for different sites to identify and align business needs for IT systems and relevant production systems, ensuring that the system/tools/processes support business needs
- Set priorities of business demands with reference group based on business strategy and largest business impact; ability to define business case and articulate impact of selected business demands
- End to end engagement – from requirement gathering definition to implementation phase.
- Define and maintain a roadmap and use cases together with subject matter experts, as well as drive roadmap execution together with our internal Smart Manufacturing teams or external vendors.
- Engage with external suppliers/vendors to understand new technologies and functional opportunities
- Futuristic mindset, dare to challenge current WoW to enable the digitalization of Supply and implementation of Smart Manufacturing
You will bring
- University degree Master of Science (MSc) in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering etc) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 year experience within the field of NPI and Final Assembly preparation
- System knowledge (e.g. Avix etc)
- Proven leadership skills. Experience from facilitating and leading groups and individuals towards challenging goals.
- Communication skills, both towards engineers and higher management
- Experience from SW development and IT projects is a strong plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
