We are hiring for MPBN/PACO Engineer


The Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Packet Core and MPBN are typically assigned to work with service quality assurance Circle activities in an operations organization.

The primary purpose is to take full responsibility for First level preventive and corrective operation & maintenance and system fault restoration. Fault remedy requiring on site presence is dispatched to the field operation organization. The position responsible will be required:

  • To work within well defined system support guidelines.
  • To prioritize faults to meet SLA/WLA.
  • To investigate faults/cause related to system/network problems.
  • To participate in internal technical discussions in view to improve overall network performance and make recommendations wherever possible.
  • To ensure accurate working methodology.
  • To be able to efficiently work with Switches, Routers, Firewalls, SGSN & MPBN Network.

Main Tasks

  • First level service problem restoration.
  • To handle and analyze Trouble Tickets and recommend timely actions and solutions to Trouble Tickets with mentorship or supervision, when vital.
  • Handle & execute the Change Request in stipulated time frame.
  • Perform Maintenance of nodes.
  • Acceptance testing of new nodes.
  • Involved in upgrade/updates & implement new features of live nodes.
  • Rollout of New Feature as per MOP
  • Interface between Design and planning , GNOC and Customer
  • Maintain technical record / routing details / Port details / Transmission details of Switch, Routers, Firewall (SGSN / MPBN)
  • Collect all the required and valid tools, methods and processes following recommendations / guidelines for delivery processes where possible.
  • Be a point of technical coordination customer concern for on –site problems and issues. Give technical support to APSs when needed.
  • Accurately handle customer requests
  • Prepare / perform changing, updating or replacement of hardware and / or software of GPRS / MPBN support node network elements.
  • Perform troubleshooting and ensure that problems and / or outstanding issues are accurately handled.
  • Handle relationship with 3PP vendors for the MPBN / GPRS solution which include CISCO , Juniper and Acute Networks
