About this opportunity  

We are now looking for Program Director for one of Leading Customer Units (CU) for Ericsson India business. You will be leading Packet Core portfolio delivering customer projects, ensuring Project, Financial, People and Operational KPIs for the CU. What you will do  

  • Be the Service Delivery single point of accountability and integral part of Market Area (MA) & Digital Services (DS) Customer Unit (CU) with a singular goal to ensure successful customer projects delivery
  • Responsible for early engagement to ensure right shoring strategy is defined early in the sales cycle, thus promoting service-based delivery as against resource-based delivery. Work within CU with right solutioning and delivery model (pyramid, onshore/offshore mix, asset usage) to ensure deals are signed with target margins with higher efficiency, leading to higher net sales with lower delivered hours.
  • Ensure service delivery engaged projects towards DS CU unit are delivered without any Margin Deviation
  • Drive adoption of assets, automation and reuse right from pre-sales to delivery to realize forecasted UM with optimal quality
  • Responsible for Service Delivery projects across Packet Core domains towards Market Area DS CU
  • Ensure standard and integrated process, methods and tools are being followed in all the CU projects with integrated Governance and Delivery Metrics being followed
  • Be an integral part of DS CU business and projects governance [Forecast, MBR, Operational Steering Group]

Other responsibilities

  • Enable business planning, including cost and growth opportunities within DS CU teams
  • Drive a project driven organization in strong collaboration within DS CU teams and become an integral part of CU Program delivery team
  • Drive one team approach within service delivery, working hand in hand with MA and exploit synergies across organizations
  • Responsible and accountable for all Service Delivery Business towards Market Area as a True Partner (One Team). Support DS CU to drive domain delivery model transformation leading to profitable projects with customer satisfaction
  • Regular updates to Global Chronos as a FAS/CPAP owner. Support CFR for all TG deck preparation and also financial numbers, PO tracking information etc.

  • Ability to create develop one team approach establishing a strong bond with respective Service Delivery domain heads and DS CU domain heads
  • Ability to engage with SDU, PDU, MA teams and customers in delivery and operational efficiency discussions to build trust and secure profitable growth
  • Ability to engage and anchor pre-sales support and participate in customer workshops during the solution defense
  • Drive Operational Readiness along with Program manager/CPM to manage customer expectations during UAT Sign off/Cutover. Manage any escalations from customer or Support organizations or from other non-DGS teams
  • Drive interactions with different Packet Core PDU teams with support from CPM to have a dedicated technical support during UAT, E2E UAT, Cutover and initial phases of Babysitting from system stability point of view.
  • Work with PFM on managing monthly FAS governance financial figures. Support L3 governance deck by working with Finance planner
  • Ability to challenge teams to ensure digital services deals are competitive embedding higher efficiency and productivity levers

Skill

Functional | Technical

  • Candidate should have very good understanding on Packet Core Products portfolio, roadmaps, challenges
  • End to end functional level knowledge and to drive solution deployments encompassing 2G/3G/4G & 5G Packet Core products
  • GIAP (PD) Certification preferred
  • Expertise with delivering Telecom projects & solutions. Broader understanding of Digital Services domains and offerings portfolio is crucial
  • Deep understanding of delivering digital transformation in all aspects, competence, technology, business, people and financial (P/L) acumen
  • Experience in delivering Digital Services solutions/projects, building tools and automation and deliver on customer commitments
  • Strong in people leadership, foster an environment of high performance through trust, transparency, diversity and effective enablement

Key Qualifications

  • Education: BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MCA or equivalent through experience and engineering degree
  • Candidate should have relevant technical experience of around 15+ years, of which at least 2 years must have been spent working on Primarily Packet Core deliveries as PD
