Solution Introduction Engineer Cloud RAN

We are hiring for multiple roles varying from Solution integration engineer to solution architects. Do you have work experience that encompass “one” out of the “two” areas below ? Area 1 – Cloud computing and Distributed/Cloud scale solution architecture skills (with a zeal to learn RAN)

  • In-depth understanding of the technology and solutions concepts related to a modern ecosystem in area of cloud computing (cloud architecture, micro services, automation) and related practices (DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Knowledge in cloud landscape with good understanding of concepts like IAAS, PAAS, CAAS, virtualized applications, containerized applications, edge computing infrastructure.
  • Hands-on Knowledge of at least one commercial grade K8S infrastructure (any of top three HCP CAAS environment, Red hat OpenShift, Tanzu, …and similar stacks)
  • In-depth understanding of the technology and solutions concepts related to a modern ecosystem in area of cloud computing.
  • Familiar with wide range of applications (PAAS infrastructure) required by software to operate and deploy in a K8S cluster (database, code tracing, logging, monitoring etc.)

 

Area 2- RAN and Telecom core expertise (with a zeal to learn Cloud computing and build cloud scale architectures/applications/solutions)

  • Good understanding of Telecom networks
  • Knowledge and experience in RAN
  • Competence in troubleshooting/integration RAN/Radio and Core networks
  • Solution architecture exposure in RAN -> Involved in defining radio product based application services, including modularity with a solution level focus.

 

Additional skills (common to both areas above)

  • Computer Science and/or Telco professional, who is an excellent team player
  • Exposure to Big data
  • Familiar with automation skills using tools like Ansible/Terraform and scripting languages like Python
  • Solution architecture and integration experience  
  • Basic networking related understanding (DNS, IPV4/V6, NAT)
  • Problem solving mindset to solve complex solution architecture problems
  • Exposure to Big data

 

Location -> Positions are open for following three locations -> Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa

 

Job role and Day to Day activities

  • Drive, Define and build/integrate E2E solutions in area of wireless ecosystem for 5G and RAN.
  • Translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Work with an international cross-site team.
  • Collaborate with various HCP/cloud vendors, Cloud RAN R&D teams and adjoining systems
  • Diagnose problem situations and challenge/propose solutions to complex issues
  • Sharpen your development skills with the latest technologies, with access to vast resources and without limitations
  • Innovate by building proof of concepts / end2end solution blueprints around 5G/RAN.
  • Work with experts in the area of 5G and RAN.
