We are building a new R&D team in Massy, France, including a Standards & Technology unit, part of Development Unit Networks global Standards & Technology organization. At Business Unit Networks Standards & Technology we secure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN) by actively driving New Concepts, Standardization, SW- and HW Research, Architecture and Testbeds. Technical focus includes 5G evolution, IoT, Automation / Machine Learning and Security.

We are looking for new members in our standardization team! The position is in the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) RAN standardization area. You will collaborate in a cross-organizational team and have opportunities to learn and work with top industry researchers on the latest technologies.

 

You will :

  • Represent Ericsson as a delegate in 3GPP
  • Develop and drive new features in 3GPP RAN WGs
  • Generate simulation results and draft 3GPP contributions, evaluate internal and external standardization proposals, and coordinate with internal research and product development teams
  • Communicate results, a very important aspect of the work we do!

 

To be successful in the role you have:

  • Several years of standardization experience.
  • Worked as delegate collaborating with international standardization organizations e.g. 3GPP,
  • ETSI, IEEE etc.
  • Background in radio communication, signal processing, communication.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience working with state-of-the art simulation tools
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience from RAN WG2 and competences in L2 and L3 protocols for LTE and NR is particularly interesting.
  • Industry understanding, ability to develop strategies and prioritize activities
  • Excellent drive and ability to execute.
  • Excellent networking, collaboration, communication and innovation skills with high energy and motivation
  • University degree: MSc, PhD or equivalent
  • Fluent English language skills in both writing and conversation.
