About this opportunity

As a part of establishing a Smart Factory within the U.S., we are now looking for an Operations Specialist to be the first line support for leading and managing continuous improvement, key processes, and functional operational gaps within warehouse areas. Crucial aspects of the role focus on metrics, data analysis, improving workflow through training, and refining warehouse standard methodologies. Successful candidates will have experience with data manipulation to solve operational problems that impact supply chain efficiencies. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a demonstrated track record of using data analysis to improve workflow and working with metrics to supervise performance. This individual must have knowledge working with process mapping and improvement, and adhering to quality standards of the following areas: receiving, put-away, picking, Kanban fulfillment, assembly kitting, transportation, and service shipping.

What you will do

  • Support warehouse in driving day to day business improvements.
  • Drive creation of corrective actions for process failures and gaps in operational execution.
  • Possess a great understanding of lean manufacturing and drive reduction of waste in processes.
  • Attend meetings and participate interdepartmentally to implement process changes and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Continuously develop and improve operations through analysis of metrics and other performance data.
  • Identify process gaps, develop and implement processes, including corrective actions to drive compliance.
  • Optimize layout and use six sigma methodologies to remove waste in operational processes.
  • Act as an area subject matter expert on process efficiency, productivity, throughput, and process improvement.
  • Other duties may be assigned to support warehouse operations.

Essential Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • High level of data manipulation and analysis skills
  • Strong leadership, decision making, and time management skills
  • Good understanding of intra-departmental functions and operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and constantly evolving work environment
  • Strong communication, project management, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced E2E understanding of supply chain management or logistics

 

Ideal Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities required (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Positive conflict and change management skills
  • Solid understanding of SAP ERP, and experience working with WCS and automation
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
