Equipment Engineering Technician

Our exciting opportunity:

As a part of establishing a Smart Factory within the U.S., we are now looking for an Equipment Technician to join our Equipment Maintenance Team! This individual will provide first-line technical support for the factory manufacturing production equipment during installation and startup and perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements and modifications on the SMA/SMT, Final Assembly, Test and Warehouse conveyor systems. You will work closely in your assigned department with Engineering and manufacturing teams across the factory to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.

 

You will:

  • Perform repairs, maintenance, calibration and setup of current and newly installed manufacturing equipment
  • Identify equipment problems and drive to root cause understanding and implement effective solutions to improve overall performance
  • Ensure continuous process control and perform moderate data analysis to help determine preventive maintenance frequencies to increase equipment up-time
  • Communicate with vendors and assist with coordinating vendor support and services
  • Prepare technical summary report with recommended actions for technical problems on equipment to provide during shift changes and to Engineering and Management
  • Work closely with inventory team to ensure sufficient levels of consumables and parts within assigned department
  • Follow and revise standard operating procedures

 

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Minimum 3+ years of related technical experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, electro-mechanical, or electrical/electronics  
  • Associates degree or higher in technical field or minimum 7+ years related experience preferred
  • Familiarity with automation and related processes and components
  • Understanding of PLC logic and functionality is a plus
  • Experience working with the necessary documentation and computer programs including efficiency in Microsoft programs
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings, engineering specifications, maintenance manuals and apply use of work instructions
  • Compliance experience with ESD, Security, Occupational, Health, and Environmental safety requirements
  • Self-motivation, committed to providing high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
  • Reliable and punctual attendance required
  • Ability to lift items greater than 50lbs
