Engineering Technician Supervisor

As a part of establishing a Smart Factory within the U.S., we are now looking for a Technician Supervisor to join our Maintenance Team! This individual will provide leadership and technical support for the factory site and install, maintain, and repair the various production equipment as needed.

 

Our Exciting Opportunity:

  • Lead a team to provide uninterrupted operation of equipment and machinery
  • Mentor, train, and manage direct reports; work directly with engineers and management
  • Identify equipment and operational problems and fix faults on equipment and machines
  • Conduct root cause analysis of faults and use knowledge for preventive maintenance decisions. Delegate work responsibilities among Equipment Engineering Technicians and Electrical Mechanical Technicians (EMTs)
  • Be responsible for the installation of new equipment and supply connections (air, electricity, water) as needed

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage the complete installation and calibration of equipment, supervising the work and time to complete
  • Oversee the continuous process control and adjustment or assembling of device parameters
  • Supervise the availability of spare parts and materials in stock and order new spare parts on time according to instructions
  • Build relationships and work with vendors to support operations
  • Coordinate and conduct preventive maintenance, working with the production team to minimize interruptions to production; involve SMA Operators
  • Meet all operational equipment efficiencies and key performance indicators (KPIs)

 

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Minimum 8 years of related technical experience in electrical/electronics, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance; including at least 3 years at the supervisory and/or management level
  • AAS/BAS degree in Engineering, electrical/electronics or industrial maintenance is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and manufacturing and Industrial equipment including PLC logic, automated robots and various equipment controls
  • Ability to provide high-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis working with equipment documentation and computer programs
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, including applying use of work instruction; experience in CMMS systems
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivator, committed to providing high-quality work
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required

 

You might also have:

  • Compliance experience with ESD, Security, Occupational, Health, and Environmental safety requirements
  • Mechanical and metal fabrication experience is a plus
