In our unit at Ericsson Research, Radio Network Concepts, we have the mission to develop and drive innovative algorithms, protocols, and architecture solutions for current and future wireless radio access networks and mobile systems. Our team in Herzogenrath close to Aachen is looking for passionate, smart, knowledgeable, and creative people to strengthen our efforts in creating a successful 6th Generation Mobile Network (6G). As a researcher, you will participate in exciting and pioneering research projects developing new concepts and solutions leading to future 6G networks. You will investigate 6G technology components, invent new features and evaluate their performance using state-of-the-art radio access simulators. Your most promising proposals will be protected by IPR. Once specified by international standardization organizations such as 3GPP, your ideas will be turned into reality through Ericsson’s ground-breaking 6G products.

- You will be working in an international team of outstanding researchers from diverse backgrounds and experiences including some of the key authorities and visionaries worldwide
- You will contribute to the development of the next Generation Mobile Network via 6G research projects, involving major players of the ecosystem as well as academic thought leaders

You bring the following knowledge and experience:
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in Wireless Communications, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar technical field; newly graduated or with work experience
- Passion for wireless communications. An in-depth understanding ofthe physical layer, signal processing, MIMO, and/or joint communication and sensing is desired. Experience in standardization work, especially in 3GPP, is a bonus
- Excellent analytical skills and eagerness to find innovative solutions to sophisticated problems
- Rich initiative and creativity with strong personal drive and dedication
- Programming skills and experience in computer simulations. AI/ML skills are a bonus
- Excitement to work in an environment where you cooperate closely in a diverse team striving to fulfill common targets
- Excellent communication skills both orally as well as in writing
- Proficiency in English is a must, German skills are an advantage
