Reporting to the Head of People, Market Area North America and supporting approximately 10,000 employees in the US & Canada, we are looking for a Head of Total Rewards, North America to lead our compensation and benefits teams.    

 

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Lead, develop, and coach a highly talented Total Rewards team of 14 (directors, managers, senior and junior analysts)
  • Report to both the Head of People, North America, and the Global Head of Total Rewards (dotted line) and participate on the leadership teams of both organizations.
  • Partner with our global total rewards team on various projects and implementations.  Lead and support the global execution of new programs and TR initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and consultants and manage performance for seamless administration and an optimized employee experience.
  • Partner with our people leadership team to ensure optimal solutions and great employee experience, serving as both a consultative and technical resource to these stakeholders.
  • Evaluate programs, policies and practices and recommend and implement options based on overall effectiveness, benchmarks, market assessment, business objectives and cost impact.
  • Develop and implement a total rewards communication strategy connected to broader HR programs and business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable country, state/provincial and local regulations. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place.
  • Provide total rewards expertise in support of business strategies that include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing initiatives.  Support M&A due diligence and integration as needed.
  • Drive the oversight and fiduciary activities of the Plan Administrative Committee with oversight to the investments and plan operations of the Ericsson US 401(k) Savings Plan and the Ericsson US Pension Plan
  • Be a key influencer with the North America Leadership Team, the global Total Rewards Team, and vendor partners to drive best practices and award-winning TR programs for North America

  • Proactive, innovative mindset to drive continuous growth and improvement for industry leading programs
  • Demonstrated success in the design and implementation of successful compensation and benefits that results in an outstanding employee experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cultures and organizations; strategically focused on continuous improvement
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive presence; ability to confidently collaborate with all levels of employees including senior management
  • Working style that is flexible, accountable, creative, and compliments a dynamic environment
  • Credible track record of building and leading effective, high performance teams and organizations and processes to support the strategic direction of the business and the reputation for getting results from others through empowerment and accountability.
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills including strong listening, negotiation, persuasion, and facilitation skills with all levels of leadership and employees.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8 – 10+ years’ experience in leading total rewards for a large North America employer
  • HR/Benefits/Compensation certifications and/or MBA preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical, problem-resolution skills
  • Communicator - Translate complexity into simplicity for our employees in relation to compensation and benefits
  • Ethical - Drive highly confidential actions and work closely with the Head of People and Head of Market Area North America on sensitive matters and projects, including executive compensation.
  • Strategic Thinker –Ability to set a vision and strategy for delivering effective and meaningful rewards
  • Customer Focus – Build processes, platforms, and ways of working that create a positive employee experience.
  • Execution - Strong ability to execute seamlessly on multiple priorities with high visibility
  • Innovation- Creative thinker who looks for ways to drive continuous improvement
  • Influencer – Ability to influence senior local and global leaders through exceptional communication, strategic alignment and subject matter expert knowledge on market data and best practices.

Location preference is Plano, TX, but open to other large metropolitan areas
