Presales Solution Architect – Transport (m/f/d)

Our Networks and Managed Services Presales Team is a powerful organization responsible for the global sales of Radio Access and Transport Networks as well as the associated professional services. Our customers are primarily (mobile) network operators but also government organizations.

To strengthen our team in Customer Unit Western Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland) we are looking for a Presales Solution Architect for Microwave, IP and Optical Transport Networks.

As Presales Solution Architect your task will be to analyze, design, and develop commercially viable technical end-to-end solutions for the customers. In this role, you will be accountable for providing profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions, and proposals.


Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Analyze customer business requirements and turn them into technical solutions
  • Develop technical presentations, proposals and perform customer presentations
  • Drive the technical negotiation
  • Support the deployment of the solution
  • Seek a close dialogue with the Product Development Unit
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation & information sharing
  • Keep abreast of new technology/technical areas & share information about solution to enable customer competence build



  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science)
  • Deep technical know-how within at least two transport domains (IP Transport Networks, Optical Networks and/or Microwave)
  • Several years’ experience and consistent track record in selling transport network solutions to network operators
  • Delivering Results & Meeting Customer expectations
  • Excellent English skills; German skills are an advantage
  • Persuading & Influencing
