Our Exciting Opportunity

Ericsson is building regional Supply chains for several key product and component areas. And we are now looking for a Senior Supplier Scouting and Development Manager in Eastern Europe.

You will be a key player in our ambition to find & develop new supply sources in Eastern Europe to improve cost competitiveness and supply chain resilience.

You will identify regional capabilities and companies, matching them towards Ericsson’s need and build up a Supply chain for identified categories within your region.

You will scout and identify suppliers and in close collaboration with category groups and partners (R&D and Product Management) ensure identified suppliers build capabilities to meet right cost, quality and capacity.

You will

  • Systematically scout for new suppliers
  • Assess new and existing supplier’s capabilities
  • Develop and promote suppliers internally and actively work with shortlisted suppliers to build their capabilities to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Initiate audits to ensure supplier compliance and process conformance, and frequently visit suppliers and potential suppliers and their factories
  • Drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards and drive systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver value
  • Drive total cost analysis for various categories related to production in Eastern Europe region and contribute to decisions related to what categories we should build supply chains for in your region
  • Contribute in various RFx projects (e.g. by conducting supplier negotiation)
  • Provide leadership in investigations of major problems or special projects focusing on developing working relationships with suppliers and the supply chain with regards to product development and procurement of parts
  • Develop positive relationships and work closely with other sourcing leaders as well as stakeholders (typically product development and product management leaders)

To be successful in the role you must have

  • University degree in Engineering or similar and/or MBA
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles
  • Sourcing experience of Electronic components, Mechanical parts, Optics and/or EMS industry
  • Regional industry relationships/network developed
  • Experience in managing supplier performance, including supplier auditing
  • Understanding of all levels of the supply chain processes
  • Sourcing Practice, Process & Strategy Knowledge
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen & Skills
  • Local Laws & Regulations Knowledge
  • Project/Program management skills
  • Change & Improvement Management Skills
  • Fluency in business English
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Experience of the Telecommunication industry is a plus.
  • Experience in Quality management and Manufacturing is a plus.
