Our Exciting Opportunity

Ericsson Hungary is now looking for a Senior Java Software Developer!


Help and contribute to development and maintenance of backend microservices of Ericsson Expert Analytics (EEA) using state of the art Big Data technologies. EEA is a real-time, multi-vendor, cross-domain, Big Data analytics solution tailored for telecom. Read on to get to know more!


You will

  • Actively work on improvements on current designs and APIs
  • Develop backend microservices that deliver Telecom Insights on top of EEA
  • Be an owner of the implemented functions: from design and implementation through verification to production troubleshooting
  • Work closely with design team members and other teams in the organization
  • Improve continuous integration of our product
  • Foster improvements by coming up with new insights related to our products and processes
  • Provide feedback to product development and write trouble reports
  • Mentor/coach junior team members during the daily work
  • Continuously improve your skills and share your expertise with the team
  • Support break-down of features/epics into user stories
  • Help the team achieve the right technical content and quality for a developed feature
  • Foster process improvement within your teams

To be successful in the role you must have

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
  • Proficiency in English, both verbally and written
  • Solid experience in agile software development with Java and continuous integration (like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven), ability to deliver a feature end-to-end
  • Experience in JIRA
  • Experience with virtualization and orchestration technologies (docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Experience in data model design
  • Experience in shell scripting and Linux
  • Superb communication skills
  • Ability to train and mentor young professionals


It’s plus if you have experience with

  • Telco (fixed and mobile network) domain knowledge
  • Real-time, streaming processing technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.)
  • Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) or related technical fields
  • Big Data Technologies including Data Stream engines, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect
  • Groovy
