Ericsson Hungary is looking for Release Automation Engineers

Job Summary:

The IMS (IP Multimedia Subystem) system is the core network of mobile systems, which is gradually replacing the traditional telecommunication solutions. IMS platform connects the wired and wireless networks into a convergent network, nevertheless securing a framework for the execution of IP based multimedia services for both native and cloud platforms. This system plays a key role both in VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and VoWi-Fi (Voice over Wi-Fi) solutions. Hungarian teams are working together with colleagues all over the world (teams from Sweden, Finland, India, China, Canada, Russia) on a daily basis developing features required by the top mobile operators.

 

The IMS Release Automation Team main responsibilities are to develop/operate automated release build solutions and to support the development environment of the IMS solutions. Automated release solutions are vital part of the Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) machinery. Team duties include analyzing requirements, design/support/testing of various software development aiding tools as well as continuous improvement of the automated release processes. The Release Automation Team is placed in Budapest and Stockholm and we are supporting a multi – site organization.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Automation/Operation of official release processes of IMS applications
  • Developing/Operating tools in a variety of programming/scripting languages
  • Analyze/Design/Implement improvements, striving for efficiency
  • Development environment support and troubleshooting

 

Minimum requirements:

 

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in similar area
  • User / admin level experience in Unix and/or Linux environment
  • Sound Java and/or Groovy knowledge
  • Experience with Git/Gerrit version control system
  • Experience in troubleshooting in complex systems
  • Experience with agile development processes (e.g. Kanban, Scrum or XP)
  • Good command of English

  • Scripting language knowledge (especially Perl, Python, bash)
  • Experience in Web development
  • Sound knowledge in Continuous Integration Server (Jenkins)
  • Telecom experience
