Our Exciting Opportunity

We are now looking for a Product Owner for building the next generation of SON Optimization Manager

Self-organizing networks (SON) are critical enablers supporting the widespread deployment of mobile broadband technologies, and, with network complexity continuing to increase and functionalities such as self-configuring, self-optimizing, and self-healing now indispensable for running modern mobile networks, multiple standards and an expanding ecosystem of equipment providers need the automation of as much network planning, designing, building, and optimization as possible. In order to build the next generation of SON based on Cloud Native technologies and Microservice architecture, we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Product Owner (PO) who can take the initiative and is interested in the technical evolution of the product. You will be working with 2 or 3 multi-functional teams of 6 to 8 engineers working in scrum methodology, as well as with your PO peers. The teams are working in a multi-national environment, collaborating with teams in Hungary and in Ireland.

You will,

  • Explain “What” and “Why” to the scrum teams you will work with
  • Build, maintain and communicate business understanding
  • Break-down of features into user stories
  • Maintain and prioritize the work within the team backlog
  • Balance new features and improvements as product life cycle responsible jointly with the Lead Product Owner who is responsible for the business requirements from product development perspective​Provide effort estimates and timeline for deliveries based on the teams’ input
  • Secure product quality and maintainability
  • Accept or reject the team’s work result
  • Say “no” when necessary and propose alternative options
  • Highlight risks in development


To be successful in this role you must have,


  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Few years of experience in a Product Owner role
  • Lean and Agile knowledge - forming the pillars of a flexible organization
  • Free thinking, influential individual who is energized working with a high-powered team
  • Roadblocks are fun problems to solve rather than impediments to your success
  • Effectively communicate and build relationships with people both close and from afar

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with building Microservices in a Cloud Native environment
  • Understanding integration of open source software
  • Data and stream processing competence (Spark, Kafka)Experience in use of development management systems and build tools preferably Jenkins, Artifactory, Gerrit, Git
  • Familiarity with core and enterprise Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, Spark, CI/CD
