Job Description

The role is within BNEW ICT Development Environment, BID. The mission for BID is to enable cost efficient radio development worldwide with our development environment as a competitive advantage, both for present and future business needs

The responsibilities for CI Engine includes:

  • Set and drive the tools portfolio for the BNEW CI Engine portfolio that will be used by all Product Development Units within DNEW.
  • Design and construction Owner of the tools included in the CI Engine portfolio for the full product lifecycle.
  • Secure that BNEW has state of the art CI Tools, both from Open Source as well as in-house development.
  • Develop Ericsson Global tools in the CI domain.  



Job Summary:

We are now looking for a section manager for one of our CI Engine sections in ETH Budapest.  You will have design and construction responsibility for GTMS, Global test management system. GTMS is a newly develop and the first version has granted GA I September. The vision for GTMS is to be the test management system used in Ericsson. It shall be integrated in the automatic continues integration flows and support dynamic test cases selection thru machine learning and analytics. We are currently transforming to an DevOps setup in GTMS and building competence in the IT domain to achieve this. The journey has just started for GTMS!  The section will also host system architects for the BID organization in ETH.

As a member of the BID CI Engine team you will get the opportunity to drive what tools that shall be included in DNEW Common CI Engine portfolio as well as maintaining the make buy strategy for CI tools and setting the strategic direction for CI Engine tools.

As a leader in the BID organization we expect you to have a holistic mindset, strategic thinking and that you are able to cooperate and generate energy. You must also possess the following:

  • M.Sc or relevant education on similar level
  • Several years of experience as a leader
  • Strong leadership skills in line with Ericsson new Leadership Framework and core values
  • A quality mindset and drive to always improve
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong ability to develop teams and organizations
  • Experience in leading in an agile and lean way of working
  • Proven ability and leadership to act in an multi stakeholder environment to secure BURA commitments
  • Wide knowledge of Continuous Integration tools.
  • A broad network within Ericsson CI community.
