Java Software Engineer - Research

What you will do

• Get to know the tools and processes and be coached/mentored by senior developers
• Work on product backlog items and requirement handling
• Provide solutions including the utilization of coding and scripting within design, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, and maintenance stages of the software lifecycle, all within an agile team supported by a PO and a scrum master
• Strive for continuous improvement and build CI pipelines
• Learn & contribute to the installation, integration, and configuration of the tools alongside developing reusable code, frameworks, unit and system verification tests, solution integration
• Create and use microservice images and Helm charts
• Integrate with REST APIs
• Develop competence in a technical domain, gain hands-on experience in components of cloud-native technologies and in their open-source equivalents and tools
• Drive improvements by coming up with new insights related to our products and processes
• Work closely together with the cross-functional team members and other teams in the organization

You will bring

• MSc/BSc level in Computer Science OR equivalent level of knowledge
• Experience in Java programming language and frameworks
• Knowledge in Java Spring Boot, microservice technologies, developing and deploying microservices on cloud infrastructure (DevOps)
• Some experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and developing software on Linux
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins
• Experience in Linux (bash scripting)
