Excellent, as we are now looking for a creative, energetic, out-of-the-box technology people leader to join our team.

We are embracing a start-up mentality to deliver automation products that delight customers, break the complexity of network management, and bring innovation at record speed!


Our team leads the development of the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform and Automation Applications (rApps) that enable higher operational efficiency, improved network performance, and better subscriber experience.

In this role you will be part of the Development Group Automation management team, having the opportunity to actively influence the direction of the unit and our future.

What you will do


  • Drive and develop world-class software development teams which can shape the future of network automation
  • Build a sustainable organization that can transition from creative start-up mode to full life-cycle program delivery
  • Ensure that Ericsson offers an outstanding, leading-edge cloud-native network automation solution
  • Realize the future OSS microservice-based architecture enabling the creation of customer value on one OSS stack
  • Engage with colleagues across Ericsson and onboard them to this new system, enabling an open app eco-system supported by our automation platform
  • Implement innovative approaches for architectural blueprints, software delivery process, and organization optimized for efficiency and fit for purpose product and solutions
  • Ensure that this solution is adaptable to a variety of different deployment models, including as-a-Product and as-a-Service offerings
  • Collaborate with Product Line regarding product/solution evolution and feature roadmap
  • Embracing microservice cloud-native paradigms and continuous integration / continuous deployment models to realize the full potential of cloud-native solutions


You will bring


  • Ability to provide solid technical leadership to developers, technical leads, management, and customers
  • Ability to find, develop and lead self-starting, creative, problem-solving engineers
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of cloud-native, microservice technologies and how these can be used to create the next-gen R&D way of working
  • Demonstrable ability to drive and embrace innovation and change with a collaborative mentality
  • Track record in efficiently developing high-quality products and solutions using Lean principles and Agile methods
  • Experience in relevant Agile roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.)
  •  Adventurous leader capabilities to make timely, fact-based decisions and consistently step forward to take accountability for these decisions while building a collaborative environment where a speak-up culture is encouraged
  • The ability to give up control and create a developer and technology-led team and organization
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken


It's a huge plus If you have:


  • Proven technology leadership in harnessing Open Source technologies as consumer and contributor
  • Proven technology leadership in leading-edge software deployment technologies and processes covering DevOps, SysOps, Automation
  • Experience in building applications around AI/ML components and technologies
  • Experience with RAN Planning, Deployment, and Optimization
