Position Summary

The Smart Services Router (SSR) provides operators with a highly scalable, consolidated platform that offers services for both fixed and mobile network infrastructure. It offers services such as IP/MPLS edge routing and Evolved Packet Gateway functionalities. SSR enables complete network convergence so subscribers can access services from any devices or locations.

Ericsson Hungary is a main contributor in the development of the SSR product in direct cooperation with the main product division located in Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA, USA).

 

As a test engineer in SSR Platform organization you will verify products (units, nodes, networks, systems and solutions), including development of test methods, planning, manual testing, test automation and documentation.

 

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
  • Test high quality products
  • Create/update test documentation, participate in test automation of new functionality tests
  • Perform troubleshooting and customer support
  • Drive continuous improvements of products and processes

     

    Position Qualifications

     

    Must Have

  • Hands on working experience with multicore Intel architecture, and south bridge peripherals
  • Strong in analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, Python, PERL)
  • Good command of English

     

    Desired skills

  • Networking and IP protocol experience, knowledge of system software
  • Hands on experience of Board bring-up
  • Experience on different test types and methods 
  • Experience on writing test strategy feature-, system- and unit test documents for high-availability telecom/data com products

     

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience requirements

  • Demonstrated "can-do" attitude, learning aptitude and strong ownership.
  • 3+ years minimum  experience with BS or MS in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in grounds up development or maintenance activities involving bug tracking, triaging, provide resolution and change management
