Position Summary

The Smart Services Router (SSR) provides operators with a highly scalable, consolidated platform that offers services for both fixed and mobile network infrastructure. It offers services such as IP/MPLS edge routing and Evolved Packet Gateway functionalities. SSR enables complete network convergence so subscribers can access services from any devices or locations.

Ericsson Hungary is a main contributor in the development of the SSR product in direct cooperation with the main product division located in Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA, USA).


SSR Platform organization is looking for experienced software developer for the Budapest site.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Develop and test high quality products
• Ensure timely deliveries
• Perform roubleshooting and maintenance of released versions
• Participate in solving customer issues


Position Qualifications

Requirements:
•    Excellent embedded C programming and debugging skills in multi core multithreaded x86 environment
•    Solid understanding of Linux OS fundamental, kernel drivers, memory management, and task management
•    Strong in analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Good understanding of concurrency, IPC, shared memory and other data sharing mechanisms
•    Proficient with GCC, GDB, other embedded development debugging tools and troubleshooting methodologies
•    Experience in writing architecture, design, unit test documents for high-availability telecom/data com products
•    Ability to work in agile team (Scrum, Kanban)

Advantages:
•    Networking and IP protocol experience, knowledge of system software
•    Experience in writing unit test scripts and automation (Python, PERL)
•    Hands on experience of Board bring-up

Preferred Qualifications and Experience requirements:

•    Demonstrated "can-do" attitude, learning aptitude and strong ownership.

•    3+ years minimum  experience with BS or MS in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science

•    Excellent written and oral communication skills

•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

•    Experience in grounds up development or maintenance activities involving bug tracking, triaging, provide resolution and change management
