Our Exciting Opportunity

We are now looking for a Data Scientist to develop and maintain backend components that deliver Telecom Insights on top of Ericsson Expert Analytics (EEA) portfolio!

 

EEA is a powerful tool offered to telecom operators producing customer insights in real time. Backed by specialized metrics for predicting customer happiness, EEA provides the kind of deep understanding of customer behavior that allows service providers to proactively improve experience, satisfaction, average revenue per user and Net Promoter Score.

We are expanding our Budapest EEA development and support organization. We work in small teams that use Agile methodology to keep up in a fast paced business environment, we closely cooperate with Ericsson Research, customer units and service delivery organization. Our product platform combines Big Data methodologies and solutions with our outstanding complex event processing to build a state of the art analytics and decision management system.

 

You will

  • Develop Telecom Insights based on support from domain specialists and team of data engineers
  • Improve and build insights developed through Big Data technologies
  • Work closely together with the design professionals and other teams in the organization
  • Drive improvements by coming up with new insights related to our products and processes
  • Build supporting tools and standard methodologies
  • Mentor/coach junior design team members

 

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in data science, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer sciences or any related field
  • Demonstrated experience in data science (both industry and academy are welcome)
  • Solid Python knowledge
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques and libraries
  • Experience in model creation and prototyping
  • A good understanding of software development methodologies
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Solid mathematical, statistical background with strong and creative problem-solving skills

 

It's a huge plus if you have

  • Experience with Big Data technologies, stream processing (e.g.: Spark, Kafka, SQL over Hadoop)
  • Experience with reporting BI tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adopt new technologies and/or business domains
  • Industry experience in building and productizing end-to-end analytics or Machine Learning systems
  • Working experience in mobile telecommunications industry
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages or any other statistical programs (R, SPSS, SAS etc.)
