Exciting opportunities exist for RAN domain specialists within our R&D department to craft the future of the evolving Networked Society.

 

We are now looking for a RAN Automation Engineer to join the Network Management team in PDU OSS.

In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of our rApp prototyping team, specifying centralized automation functions addressing Self Configuration, Self-Optimization, and Self-Healing of Radio Access Networks (LTE and NR).

What you will do

 

  • Study and specify centralized automation features for Configuration, Assurance, Healing, and Optimization of RAN, such as coverage optimization (including AAS), load management, and others
  • Interact with product managers and customers to collect requirements and support product planning
  • Work in a development team to support rApp prototype implementation
  • Participate in the proof-of-concept phases of new optimization algorithms

 

You will bring

 

  • Radio access technology knowledge (3G, 4G, 5G)
  • Experience with RAN Assurance and Optimization, preferably with close interaction with operators
  • Experience/genuine interest in the end-to-end process of RAN management and automation – data collection, insight generation, decision making, and change implementation

 

It is a huge plus If you have:

 

  • Experience/genuine interest in automation and closed-loop systems
  • Experience/genuine interest in statistics and Data Science
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Master’s or PhD degree
  • Familiarity with Opensource initiatives (e.g., ONAP, ORAN) and Standards (e.g., 3GPP)
