Our Exciting Opportunity

Approximately 40% of the world’s mobile traffic is carried through an Ericsson Network. The fifth generation (5G) of Radio Access Networks (RAN) is happening now and Ericsson is the recognized technology leader in bringing it to the market. As the telecoms industry deploys 5G networks around the globe, technologies such as automation and virtualization, with Cloud RAN specifically, will play a key role in future network evolution. With the first commercial cloud RAN based 5G launches, there has never been a better time for you to make your mark.

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a Cloud RAN support engineer role using the best cloud solutions available in a fast-moving telecommunication environment combined with 5G technology. You will be a key part of an engineering group using agile management and engineering practices.

You will

  • Fix and resolve problems to stabilize and optimize customer networks.
  • Analyze and find suitable solutions for issues reported by customers, through contact with them gather data and information about any specific problem that has been reported to Ericsson.
  • Work with assigned tickets, using support tools according to global support processes and procedures.
  • Work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology.
  • Solid knowledge of the Linux ecosystem, IP Networking & Routing.
  • Knowledge of Cloud-Native core principles (microservices, K8S, Docker, CI/CD).
  • Troubleshooting and analytical approach combined with customer facing mentality.
  • Delivering results & meeting customer expectations.

Advantages

  • Experience from Customer Support Services or Network Operations within the IT/Telecom industry.
  • Knowledge of Radio Access Network technologies (5G NR and LTE 3GPP standards).
  • Experience with COTS hardware (Dell, HP, CISCO, and Ericsson proprietary – e.g. HDS8000 & BSP 8100 and Storage solutions).
