Ericsson Cloud Manager (ECM) is a cloud management system that handles the life-cycle management of virtual applications. It also enables the creation, orchestration, activation, and monitoring of services running on virtualized IT and programmable network resources at consistent levels of quality. With ECM, cloud resources are no longer confined to a single data center, but rather are spread throughout the network, to help improve both internal operations and service quality. ECM provides a secure GUI that enables provider administrators, tenant administrators, subtenant administrators and tenant/subtenant users to create, manage and monitor their virtual resources.

 

Job summary:

In ECM the recently formed multi-national CI Framework team is responsible for developing the infrastructure that enables the continuous integration (deployment and automated test) for the whole product. As a team member, you will maintain and operate Jenkins and slaves used for execution, ensure sufficient capacity and stability of the test environment, do upgrades and maintenance, keep ARM (binary repository)/Gerrit/Git/Sonar in good working condition, manage Virtual OpenStacks (devstacks): handle uplift/configuration changes as new ECM features are added, implement parallel test execution flows, tune for performance and capacity, support feature teams with needed changes. You will create ECM VMs and develop scripts to install, configure and scan ECM components as well as 3PPs.

 

         Experience and qualification requirements:

  • Git
  • Jenkins
  • Java or Python (comfortable writing code in one of them, willing to learn others)
  • Maven/Gradle
  • Ansible or Chef or Salt or Puppet
  • Basic Linux administration
  • Bash scripting
  • Cloud operations experience (vCenter or Openstack, or any of the public clouds)
  • Good communication skills, excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a virtual, geographically distributed team
  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve
