Our team is part of the "Middleware IP and OS" (MIPOS) development center in the PDU Component Developme nt  (PDU CD).

We are responsible for the following CBA components: eVIP, Database Services (DBS; holding DBN and DAS), vDicos and C-Diameter.

All components are written in C\C++ (DAS and C-Diameter is written in C++ 11).



DBS is an in-memory, fault-tolerant, object-oriented, distributed database management system with geographic redundancy. It is used in IP-based telecom solutions for storing session, policy, and subscriber data.

DBS is developed in C++ under Linux using git and Jenkins, and is deployed on virtualized clusters.



DAS provides a database-agnostic data access service for other CBA components and for CBA applications.

Developed following the latest C++ standards by a team of C++ enthusiasts. The team is also committed to follow the latest industry trends when it comes to software development methodologies.




Eco-system supporting development and runtime execution of telecom grade application business logic written in C++ targeting CBA based deployments (user applications: HSS, MTAS, CSCF, CSCF). It is the next generation evolution of the Ericsson Telecom Server Platform (TSP).



Common implementation for the Diameter Base protocol (RFC 6733). It is a Common-ID component with adaptations towards CBA and ADP (micro services). It is implemented using C++ 11.



The eVIP (Evolved Virtual IP) component is part of CBA (Component Based Architecture) that supports load balancing of IP traffic and software defined routing to enable redundant and scalable IP routing for various applications and solutions.


- Solid Linux knowledge

- Scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, bash)

- Basic understanding if IP and routing


eVIP is written in C programming language in Linux environment, connecting to a TCL-based function test environment (this is maintained by designers), and the system test environment which is Python-based (partly JCAT, partly RobotLogger based on RobotFramework).


The teams are split between Stockholm and Budapest (2 design teams and 1 test team, half of each one in Budapest, the other half in Stockholm).



I&V (JCAT/Network)

Our I&V (test) team is responsible for verification of the components against functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. characteristics, robustness, stability, upgrade, maintainability, redundancy, overload):

- Develop and maintain test automation framework and the test cases in Java. (JCAT)

- Running and analyzing automated TCs including trouble-shooting. (Continuous Integration)

- Network infrastructure configuration / adaptation to new requirements

- Verification of system requirements



We expect that you have solid technical knowledge in more of the following areas:

- strong programming and troubleshooting experience in C++ preferably on Linux

- experience in concurrent programming

- understanding of distributed systems

- experience with using virtualization technologies is an advantage (KVM, VirtualBox, VMware)

- good knowledge in English, both written and spoken



Preferred areas of expertise:

- basic understanding of IP-based protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, SCTP), VLAN, routing

- scripting experience (e.g.: bash)

- system testing



- experience in virtualization technologies (Openstack, VMware, KVM)

- experience in BSP-8100 configuration

- IMS experience

- openness for leadership roles (TL, TPO)
