Our Exciting Opportunity

Product Development Unit Component Development (PDU CD) is a development organization within Business Area Digital Services. PDU CD is a corner stone of the Ericsson platforms and components strategy and develops components and products and microservices used by applications across Ericsson. It covers three main ecosystems Application Development Platform (ADP), Component Based Architecture (CBA), and Licensing as well as delivering domain specific services for IMS with the Dicos software.

We are now looking for a ADP Microservice Component Architect to take part in developing, maintaining and delivering high quality software in Application Development Platform (ADP) technologies primarily in the Network and Connectivity Area within Dicos Development Unit unit part of PDU CD.

The Application Development Platform (ADP) Framework is the approved way forward for developing cloud native applications within Ericsson, following a modern design pattern (microservice architecture based on containers).

You will work in the Connectivity area, primarily working with External Connectivity Management, Signaling Traffic Management, Service Mesh, Container Networking.

You will take part in shaping and developing a new microservice, working also in the open source word and your role will include development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.

Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement and innovation is part of the daily work.

You will:

  • Drive strategic technical leadership
  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
  • Develop and test high quality products
  • Perform trouble shooting and customer support
  • Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
  • Develop competence in technical domain

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Linux user experience (bash)
  • General IP network knowledge and IP routing/firewalling
  • Experience in DevOps
  • Experience in CI/CD Pipeline Development
  • Experience of designing cloud native microservices using Docker and deploying in Kubernetes using Helm
  • Familiar with Git, Gerrit and Jenkins
  • Additional language knowledge like C and Golang is a plus
  • Good command of English
  • Ability to work with complex system
  • Ability to work in team
  • Flexibility, quick learning

To be successful you must have:

  • Education: BSC or MSC diploma
  • Min 3years of experience
  • Domain experience: Telco Cloud
  • Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
  • Business understanding
  • Working with people and networking
  • Innovating, adapting and responding to change
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
  • Planning and Organizing
