About this opportunity
We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our IPR Policy team, part of Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing unit. The team is distributed on several sites worldwide, and we now need to strengthen our presence in Brussels.
What you will do
As a member of this distributed team, you will focus on EU policy developments and on building relations with policymakers and institutions to ensure our voice is heard on IPR policy topics. You will work in close collaboration with a local member of the IPR Policy team and provide support on IPR matters to the government relations team as well as the marketing & communications team. Other activities include driving and representing Ericsson’s IPR position in various high-level standard development organizations and industry associations, as well as raising IP awareness in the context of standardization. You will help organizing meetings, events, and prepare consultations, briefs, IP policy messages and other supporting documents.
You will bring
- University degree in economics, law, political science, or engineering
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- Trusted relationship builder
- Self-motivated, reliable and rigorous, a real team player
- Great social, presentation and writing skills
- 4-5 years professional experience
Good to have
- Proficient in one more language of the EU
- Political experience or an ability to develop public policy positions
- Experience of PR and communications-based advocacy campaigns
- Professional experience engaging with governmental institutions, particularly the European Parliament
