Job Summary: 

As the TR SME of Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, you will work proactively with business leaders, People Business Partners and other stakeholders to bring our Pay & Recognition philosophy to life by implementing and managing effective and fair reward and recognition policies, work instructions, processes and systems that are aligned with market and business needs


  • Partners with stakeholders and supports business needs through consultation and lead the implementation of our Ericsson pay philosophy in Great China by defining fair and competitive local TR offerings, based on global and North East Asia principles.
  • Develops, in line with global and North East Asia framework TR offerings and solutions for Great China and ensures local TR deliverables are aligned with global and North East Asia Directives, Instructions and approval processes
  • Drive implementation of Global total rewards processes and Great China Total Rewards programs/initiatives in line with the global framework.
  • Develop, implement and help communicate local employee benefits (e.g. employee insurances, company cars etc.), pension, recognition, well-being and flexible working schemes that are aligned with Ericsson’s approaches and are adapted to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Drives country-level governance and compliance by securing that all TR deliverables have applicable instructions, frameworks, processes and governance, in line with global TR directive and other internal controls.
  • Monitor and analyze external and internal market data, trends and insights to provide proactive Total Reward thought leadership to business leaders and People Business Partners. Use this information to influence business leaders to make thoughtful, strategic business decisions.
  • Support local managers to understand and communicate Total Rewards through the Ericsson People Story to enhance total reward transparency
  • Continuously provide training to business leaders and People Business Partners to expand their knowledge and to ensure the successful usage of total reward policies, processes and initiatives
  • Maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with various total reward external vendors who support Ericsson in areas such as  salary survey data, pension administration, employee benefit insurance renewals, employee benefit communication etc.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing compensation and benefit program design, competitive market analysis, forecasting trends/costs in geography
  • Experience in the design and successful implementation of reward programs and tools
  • Advanced ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams/virtual teams and strong ability to influence, educate, and enable others
  • Strong analytics capabilities and ability to translate data into trends with key insights and recommendations 
  • Consultative approach and ability to effectively communicate policies and information, knowing when to escalate questions or issues. 
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy of data, ability to prioritize and follow through on requests
  • Possess and demonstrate exceptional judgment, self-management, impeccable ethics, and a high degree of personal and professional maturity
