System Engineer

Our Exciting Opportunity: 

We work with the latest generation of 5G broadband wireless technology. Our unit is responsible to systemize, design, implement and integrate software features to control the air interface.

We are looking for a 5G System Engineer to join our 5G NR RAN function development team. Your role will include all systems development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, algorithm design, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.  


We coordinate in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of daily work


You will: 

  • Develop algorithms in radio resource management area for 5G NR base stations
  • Develop simulations for the analysis of 5G feature algorithms and implement extensions to simulation tools and environments
  • Perform continuous analysis and requirements handling
  • Develop deep understanding of baseband product architectures
  • Work with product design teams to implement systems design algorithms
  • Understand memory and cycle constraints in the product and suggest implementation improvements
  • Support system verification and test result analysis; and  customer trouble reports analysis
  • Detail all system analysis and performance expectations and results
  • Work closely with Product management teams to explain the algorithms as well help prioritize the requirements


To be successful in the role you must have:

  • A background in communications theory and digital signal processing
  • Solid understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management and Mobility
  • Experience in SW development for Link and Network Simulations. Languages include: Java, C and C++
  • Analytical mindset, high capacity, result orientation and ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage different projects at once.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written;
  • Candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in a relevant area, preferably with demonstrated experience and knowledge in the above mentioned required skills areas
